the_firefly's journal, I have my first fanfic in two years! It's nothing special (It's incredibly short and I whipped it out in about 5 minutes) and it sounds kind of awkward because I'm seriously out of practice with writing, but I'm so proud of myself for finally finishing something.
Title: The Art of Espionage
Fandom: Naruto
Pairings: Ino/Sai, slight Naruto/Sakura
Words: 88
"Sakura-chaaan," Naruto whined loudly enough to give away their position from behind a pair of bushes (obviously, "stealth" was one of the few ninja basics he had yet to master), "Who cares about what Sai's doing? We should go somewhere else together, just the two of us..."
Sakura ignored his protests and simply hushed Naruto with one hand, concentrating on listening in on the conversation between Ino, who was wrapped around a certain black-haired boy's arm, and Sai, who still didn't quite understand the concept of a date.

I like both characters and can see where people think it would be cute, but I just don't see it working. Naruto would be completely oblivious to Hinata's feelings because she wouldn't be able to outright say them and he's terrible at picking up on stuff like that. Also, if she nearly passes out every time he talks to him, how would she handle a date, or even a kiss?
I don't know. It's just not my kind of pairing.
I have other pairings I think are much less plausible, but most of them don't have much of a fanbase anyway so I don't think about them much.
Truth or dare?
Truth or dare??
What's your most embarrassing fandom moment? The one time, even if it happened in just your personal lj, that you went 'wtf did I just do/say?'
But the comment I left was in reply to one of the other people invovled in the discussion. And she assumed I was talking to her and said, "Thanks for the compliment. Which one of my fics do you like the most?"
I had never read any of her fics before and had no idea what to say. I felt pretty stupid for that one.
I'm sure that wasn't the worst thing I've done on LJ, but it's the most embarrasing one I can remember at the moment. Sorry it's so lame, haha.
Truth or dare?
Truth!
Right now I'd maybe say this one-
I'm extremely proud of the coloring job on it, and just love how it came out.
Truth or dare?
Truth or Dare?
BWAHA.
No-I dare you to make a schnazzy and shpiffy icon of a pairing you really dislike. Mwaha.
